Self-organized freedom fighters attacked regime’s soldiers

Attacks being waged on minority led Ethiopian regime soldiers have continued. In Benishangul Gumuz, a child who was hunting with bows and arrows was stabbed and bitten by soldiers and was left behind for dead. In retaliation, three soldiers were killed and four wounded by bows and arrows by the fighters.

Due to the incident, the tension in Benishangul Gumuz and the surrounding is very high. Rapid response police forces that came to search and stop the circulation of arms in the area were attacked by the freedom fighters. It is reported they killed two and wounded over five.

The boy who was wounded reported his brothers and their friends vanished into the forest after they attacked the soldiers. The regime’s cadres and police have started house to house searches to look for bows and arrows. It is also reported, residents have been bitten and taken to detention.
